RISE Magazine: A CBD-UIC Design Collaboration That Shines

April 27, 2021—The Spring 2021 issue of RISE, the magazine of the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago, is out and collecting kudos. Using a design template created by CBD, with all content and editing from the College’s marketing team, every issue of RISE is a shining example of successful collaboration. In this issue, read about the engineers imagining infrastructure in the year 2100, new advances in robotics, the greater value of 5G and the learning coming out of this year’s virtual internships.

Plus, check out a photo feature on Cecilia Avila, a fall 2020 computer science graduate, who is among 20 Chicago-area professionals selected for the first round of Gender Equality in Tech fellowships. She will spend the next nine months working with other fellows to propose solutions to improve the professional and personal lives of people from underrepresented groups in the tech world, especially women.
