CBD Marketing and Whirlpool Corporation’s Big Night at the Tempo Awards!

CHICAGO (June 26, 2019) – Walking the red carpet is part of the fun at an awards night, including the annual Tempo Awards on June 20. Sponsored by the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM), the Tempo Awards honor the area’s best and brightest multichannel response marketers and their work driving measurable business results. CADM is the largest independent response marketing organization in the country.

Hundreds of Chicago’s top marketers attended this year’s Tempo Gala at one the city’s most unique venues, Alhambra Palace. CBD Marketing (CBD) walked away with several top honors, including two for client Whirlpool Corporation’s Whirlpool Pro website and “Count on Us” campaign.

In addition, two CBD executives received prestigious personal achievement awards. EVP and Executive Creative Director, Mary Olivieri, was named Response Marketer of the Year, the highest honor given by CADM to a career marketer.  Account Supervisor Alissa Ursiny received an Emerging Leader (EL) Award.

Mary Olivieri – Charles S. Downs Response Marketer of the Year

Executive Vice President and Executive Creative Director

This is CADM’s most prestigious award and honors an individual who has demonstrated exceptional career and leadership achievements, including innovating new concepts and practices. Mentoring and charitable and volunteer work is also considered. The award is named in honor of Charles S. Downs, the late advertising director of Abbott Laboratories, a founder and past president of CADM.

Mary has worked in the multichannel marketing arena her entire career, the last seven at CBD. She and her team have developed award-winning campaigns for national and global clients in a wide variety of consumer and B2B industries. At CBD, she’s led the creative initiatives for clients such as Whirlpool Corporation, Contract Channel, James Hardie Building Products, Firestone Building Products, the American Dental Association and more. Mary has also been instrumental in all of the agency’s pro bono work, including Alliance for the Great Lakes, Chicago Canine Rescue and Governors State University, among others.

The EL Award recognizes up and coming, exceptional talent in Chicagoland’s multichannel response marketing community.  Each individual honored is recognized for notable achievements within their organizations on important multichannel accounts. At CBD, Alissa has exhibited strong leadership capabilities for clients including Whirlpool Corporation, as well as with internal teams and projects.
